Umarah Abdul Rahim is an India-born visual artist pursuing her BFA in Visual Media at the Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Photographic Arts and Design. Her practice centers on staged photography, videography, and publication design, through which she explores the complexities of human emotion and narrative.

Drawing from professional experiences as a photographer for publications like The Caravan Magazine and Lucknow Times, and as an Archivist at CEPA Gallery, Umarah has developed a distinct visual voice. At the core of her art is the belief that visuals serve as a universal language. Umarah is driven by a passion to tell stories and convey feelings that transcend cultural and linguistic barriers, creating connections where words may fall short.
